Description
A paddle trip where both the starting point and the endpoint are the same, our canoe rental at the guest harbor in Smedjebacken. Our rental is unmanned, you pick up the equipment yourself and read the instructions available on site. Once you have everything you need, carry the canoe to the water and paddle away through the Strömsholm Canal.
Smedjebacken is located at the top of the canal and offers large open waters such as Norra Barken, Södra Barken, and below Fagersta, you will reach Åmänningen. In these lakes, you will find plenty of beautiful spots where you can enjoy a swim or spend the night in a beautiful environment.

We offer one of our most stable plastic kayaks. The kayak has a large cockpit and a wide design, making it slightly shorter. This kayak is perfect for beginners as it provides excellent stability. It is propelled using a double paddle and comes with a sprayskirt. The sprayskirt is a thin fabric that covers the cockpit to prevent water from splashing into the kayak.
